STEP 3: CONTACT SRO (NEXT WEEK)

What to Say:

"Hello, I own a property at 69 Carr Street, Geelong purchased under the Victorian Victorian Homebuyer Fund. I would like to lease it to a residential tenant for 6 months (furnished, all utilities included, at $632/week). Do I need written approval from SRO before signing the rental agreement?"

Expected Response:

They will likely say:
- "Yes, submit written approval request" OR
- "Send us the details and we'll assess"

What to Do:


STEP 4: SUBMIT SRO APPLICATION

Mail or Email Option:

Option A - Email (Faster):
- Send to: [Get email from SRO when you call]
- Subject: "Victorian Homebuyer Fund - Rental Approval Request - 69 Carr Street"
- Attach: SRO_Approval_Application_Complete.html + Schedule A + Schedule B + Schedule D + property photos

Option B - Mail:
- Print SRO_Approval_Application_Complete.html (all pages)
- Enclose: Schedule A, B, D, plus property photos
- Mail to: State Revenue Office

Option C - In Person:
- Visit SRO office at 1 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne
- Bring all documents in folder
- Ask them to verify completeness before you leave


STEP 5: FOLLOW UP

If no response after 15 business days:

Keep records of:
- [ ] Date application submitted
- [ ] Who you spoke with (name and phone number)
- [ ] SRO reference number (they'll assign one)
- [ ] Expected response date


STEP 6: RECEIVE APPROVAL (CRITICAL)

Once SRO approves in writing:
